Voice of Rain

Rain fell and fell
day after day
Slowly I develop
a language of touch
with the rain
like a form of braille

Then suddenly
one day
the rain
breaks away
changes its tune
you hear foreign birds
singing up to
their maker
dressed up
as the moon

Somewhere Between

Between the notes
      I played

Somewhere in the middle
From the words to the applause

Of a great performance
      I was in there

long after they all left
      I was there

The only one
      Who stayed

Looking for me

The days grew tired
Time clock has stalled
lifting up freedom
as the night grows
the bottle gets lighter
the PERSON
you are
Nobody Really Knows

Every mirror
knows your face
getting very familiar
time stacking up
weighing LOUD
on your skin
that mirror laughs
as it watches
as you pay for love
while being married
to sin
