Swing Away

Trying to note the importance of life
like a empty swing that rocks
Calling a name but no response
somewhere here
are the ones
that dimmed their light
left me alone but alright

Trying to find my way
at the back of the line
lost in a crowd
as I bleed time
here and now
to the back
way, way back
end of the line

Below is a link to my brothers youtube page. He is a woodworker and all around funny guy. His channel will show you little tricks and ideas for any home builds, or do it yourself projects. He will also be adding funny and random videos as well. "Thank You All."

No White Flags

Footprints of Iron
placed Heavy into the earth
made not of animal or man
but of Iron spirit and soul
that bleeds lifeblood into
the ground and plants hope
a journey that is being witnessed
for those who believe in miracles
one made of new rivers and lakes
like the ocean giving birth

I wrote this for Steve Gleason. I've always been a fan of Steve and his unmeasurable determination. I hope to also help bring awareness to this disease, that is ALS. Doesn't hurt that Steve is also a fan of Pearl Jam. Lol NWF

Society hobbles
on a pharmaceutical crutch
character is flat
like the dulling
of brass

The gift
has gotten sold
people are in between
light and dark
secrets are printed
everything is told

You feel yourself
to see if
you still feel
everything is changing
like advertised chameleons
disguising the road
life is not wealthy
it's cheaper than ever
no more Gold

My brother just kicked off his website. Still in the early stages, but will be updating and adding post in due time. Check it out! Thanks, Chris.

Lost Time

Unwritten distance
the lost miles
time pours
from a ruptured vein
like a broken faucet
coming down
into a endless drain

Looking for a lighthouse
from the rocks
aboard a ship
tied to a sea less dock
mother nature cries
as I lay trapped
in her hands
like a weathered clock

Hours go by
as we sleep
in our minds
we awake in dreams
sleeping through alarms
we live for magic
betting against time
